My Story
Hi there! My name is Christy and I’m a Life Coach.
You’ve stumbled here on my page either out of genuine curiosity about who I am as a person
- Or -
You’re curious about Coaching.
Allow me to introduce myself and my passion for coaching:

In 2017 I found myself at an all-time low. I was entangled in a web of multiple abusive relationships. I was in an environment where verbal, emotional, psychological and financial abuse were normalized. Manipulation, coercive control and forced compliance were falsely portrayed as “love”. My resources were being drained and exploited, while my emotional well-being was completely ignored. My love & my kindness were weaponized and used against me.

This environment is also known as a Narcissistic Family System or Toxic Family System. There was diagnosed, undiagnosed and untreated mental health disorders. Year after year, relatives were lost to various types of addictions. Metaphorically and literally. There were individuals who profited and who lost due to this family system. Passed down from generation to generation.
I faced multiple health issues directly caused by prolonged exposure to this caustic environment. It wrecked any relationship I had with myself. It pushed me to put everyone else first, like neglecting myself was the only way to keep the facade of stable. This system couldn’t regulate their own emotions—they were like walking time bombs, and somehow it fell on me to keep them from exploding, no matter what it cost me.

I came to terms that this way of life was Not Sustainable.

Determined to improve my health and committed to change, I embarked on a journey of healing and self-discovery. Through therapy, I gained clarity on “what happened” and deeper insight into “why.”
But now what?
I still found myself feeling stuck. I also didn’t understand why I was stuck. I did all the therapy work, read the books. I understood the principles I was taught in therapy, but I struggled applying them to the difficult relationships in my life.
In 2022 I began working with a coach and it’s through this coach I got to meet myself for the first time. I heard myself speak, I heard her dreams, I heard her strength, I heard her wisdom, and I heard her crying out for me to take better care of her. And I listened. This sparked a powerful journey of self-discovery, where I reclaimed my freedom and autonomy by diving deep into who I am and building unshakeable trust in myself.

I learned how to become a nurturing friend to myself.
The interesting bit is, through focusing on my personal growth, I developed the self-awareness and self-worth needed to prioritize my well-being, ultimately leading me to distance myself from and eliminate the abusive relationships in my life. To my surprise, after about a year, my symptoms started to improve. The scary and uncomfortable symptoms from my autoimmune disease started to stabilize, I gained more energy, my pain levels went down. My quality of life was improving, and I couldn’t believe it. It was then I had no doubt of the direct impact our environment can have on our health and nervous system.
It was there that my passion for coaching began. Empowering individuals to build resilience, cultivate self-compassion, and ultimately achieve their full potential by harnessing their inner strength.
I’m nobody special. I’m some random disabled chick and if I can turn my life around, you can too.
This isn’t a miracle fix right? No snake oil being sold here. I can’t magically manipulate you into going to the gym more or committing to those dreams. This is work ONLY YOU can do; I can’t do it for you. Communication is key in relationships, I’m sure you’ve heard this before. What if I told you the same applies to the relationship with yourself? Imagine the positive transformation in your life when you can better understand what motivates you, what holds you back and the ways in which you can work around these roadblocks? The goal is to coach myself out of a job.

So if you’re wanting to enhance and/or encourage change in your life, are committed to showing up for yourself and curious about how coaching can specifically support you,

Outside of Coaching, I spend time with my chosen family, my husband and our dog.

My husband, a Marine Corps Infantry veteran, bravely served our country in multiple combat zones. His experiences led to Combat-PTSD. Witnessing his courage and his own healing journey ignited a passion in me to advocate for veterans with invisible wounds. I’m passionate about veteran services and seeking out resources that empower vets to heal and thrive.

In my free time I enjoy being goofy with my dog, building Lego sets, playing board games, nature photography, weightlifting, adaptive surfing when possible and share a love of food and travel with my husband.

I specialize in the perspective of living with a physical disability and how to be creative & resourceful to meet our needs, achieve our goals and dream limitless.

My passion lies in empowering individuals to build resilience, cultivate self-compassion, and achieve their full potential by harnessing their inner strength.
